DERTOUR Group, one of the leading travel groups in Europe, runs more than 20 well-known tour operators and hotel brands. From beach holidays, family trips, city breaks, long-haul or a round-the-world trip – DERTOUR Group’s customers can discover and experience 179 countries across the globe.
DERTOUR Groups’s tour operator brands include Aldiana (DACH), Clevertours (DACH), DERTOUR (DACH), Fischer (CZ, SK), Helvetic Tours (CH), ITS (D, CH), ITS Billa (AT, CZE), ITS Coop Travel (CH), Jahn Reisen (DACH), Kartago Tours (HU), Kuoni (CH), Meiers Weltreisen (DACH), and many more.
 
The group, with over 10.000 employees in 130 companies, looks back on over 100 years of history and is the travel and tourism division of the REWE Group, one of the leading European trading companies.
 
 
CHALLENGE
 
DERTOUR manages more than 20 international tour operator brands. Every brand has a clear profile and value proposition, offering a wide range of travel services and components. Each brand acts as an independent tour operator, managing individual supplier contracts with individual rates and product attributes. Distribution varies in terms of sales channels, calculation, markets, and target customer groups.
 
In addition to traditional tour operator brands offering hotel-only and travel packages, DERTOUR Group manages tour operator brands focused on dynamic packaging with full flexibility, serving new target groups and markets.
 
One of the biggest challenges for a tour operator of this size is to manage clear, profiled travel portfolios and packages, while at the same time trying to achieve synergies across all the brands. DERTOUR Group needs an internationally compatible IT infrastructure that is flexible and open to interfaces to sell in international markets to support all its different brands.
